Large frames are shipped UPS Ground - Call for shipping costs.

Large Frames are subject to UPS "oversized" shipping rates.  Depending on size of box, UPS charges as if it weighs 70 pounds, even though the box might weigh less than 10 pounds.  High shipping rates are killing the lampshade frame business!

NOTICE

Many of you are familiar with KITI lampshade frames that were widely available at craft stores and fabric stores all across the country.  Sadly,  the company is no longer in business, so when these very popular frames are gone from our inventory, we won't be able to get any more.  This leaves a big gap in inventories across the United States for the crafter who wants to make his or her own lampshade.

   In the last couple of years at least 3 more lampshade frame manufacturers have closed their doors. 

   If they are not already, I expect China will soon be the dominant lampshade frame producer supplying big lampshade manufacturers, as well as producing "dime-a-dozen" type lampshades for the big "Mart" type chain stores.   If American consumers don't wake up, future generations won't know what "Made In America" means!

UPDATE:

The cost of raw frames and shipping is choking us too.  When our present inventory is depleted, regretfully, we won't be ordering any more frames for resale to other lampshade makers.   We will continue to make Victorian lampshades and restore old lampshades.  We'll concentrate on lamp repair parts and glass lampshade replacements.  When we regain space in our shop after the frames are gone, we may be able to find our woodworking equipment again!
