BUYER PAYS SHIPPING, NOT INCLUDED IN PRICES SHOWN Large frames are shipped UPS Ground - Call for shipping costs. Large Frames are subject to UPS "oversized" shipping rates. Depending on size of box, UPS charges as if it weighs 70 pounds, even though the box might weigh less than 10 pounds. High shipping rates are killing the lampshade frame business! NOTICE Many of you are familiar with KITI lampshade frames that were widely available at craft stores and fabric stores all across the country. Sadly, the company is no longer in business, so when these very popular frames are gone from our inventory, we won't be able to get any more. This leaves a big gap in inventories across the United States for the crafter who wants to make his or her own lampshade. In the last couple of years at least 3 more lampshade frame manufacturers have closed their doors. If they are not already, I expect China will soon be the dominant lampshade frame producer supplying big lampshade manufacturers, as well as producing "dime-a-dozen" type lampshades for the big "Mart" type chain stores. If American consumers don't wake up, future generations won't know what "Made In America" means! UPDATE: The cost of raw frames and shipping is choking us too. When our present inventory is depleted, regretfully, we won't be ordering any more frames for resale to other lampshade makers. We will continue to make Victorian lampshades and restore old lampshades. We'll concentrate on lamp repair parts and glass lampshade replacements. When we regain space in our shop after the frames are gone, we may be able to find our woodworking equipment again! Hannah

All lampshade frames should be "prepped" before wrapping and applying fabric. A small file will remove any of the sharp edges of welded joints. About 50% of raw frames require some filing on at least one sharp point. This does not mean the frame is not useable. Many of our frames have an aluminum dip finish, which helps protect from rust, but is not a guarantee. We recommend spray-painting all frames with a rust-preventive paint, (except the powder-coated ones) and allow to dry thoroughly before beginning to construct a lampshade. Untreated frames will rust in any climate! Be safe - protect your beautiful lampshades by simply treating the frame first.

Note to other lampshade makers: Whether you're a professional selling your own handcrafted lampshades, or if you make lampshades as a hobby for family and friends, all above frames will be discounted 10% if you purchase 6 frames or more at one time.
